Bicarbonate of soda on a damp sponge removes grease easily from enamel cooker, tiles etc., without scratching.
Carpet deodorising: Sprinkle bicarbonate of soda onto carpet before going to bed and vacuum in the morning.
3 Alka-Seltzer tablets down the kitchen sink followed by a cup of white vinegar. Leave for a few minutes then run hot water - cleans pipes.
To remove the stain from the bottom of a glass vase or cruet, fill with water and drop in two Alka-Seltzer tablets.
Prevent that annoying fog which builds up on the bathroom mirror when showering by applying aftershave to the mirror's surface. Spray a small amount in the middle and then spread it over the surface with a cloth. Wipe the surface clean and your mirror is fog resistant for at least three weeks.
Dust your television and computer screens with a used dryer sheet as this will reduce the static and prevent dust resettling.
Collect animal hair by rubbing the area with dryer sheets, they will magically attract all the loose hairs.
Lime scale in kettle - use white vinegar - cover the element, boil the kettle. For heavy build up repeat if necessary. Boil with fresh water and rinse well before use.
Microwave: Food splatters all over the inside of your microwave and cooks itself on after time. To easily remove this mess, place a sponge soaked in water in the microwave. Cook on high heat for 2 minutes, then allow it to sit without opening the microwave door, for 5 minutes. The filth is now ready to be wiped right off - no scrubbing - and your sponge is right there!
